The Consular Section of the U.S. Consulate, hosted a review of L1 blanket visa procedures at the American Center in Kolkata on 14th March 2017. Members of AMCHAM’s Eastern Region were invited to attend this session. Consular Officer, Mr. Peter Theis, visiting from Chennai, briefed the participants on procedures and Consular Chief, Shelly Dittmar, explained the interview process. The participating members were given a greater understanding of the personal interview and what the full process entailed. The event was very well organized by the Consular Section and the officers interacted with members and addressed different issues companies often experienced.
