Supply Chain and Logistics Committee’s Knowledge Sharing Session on ‘Overview and Insights – GST – Recent Amendments’ – 11th February 2020

On February 11th, AMCHAM’s Supply Chain & Logistics Committee organized a knowledge sharing session on ‘Overview and Insights – GST – Recent Amendments.’ The session commenced with Ms. Surabhi Wahal, Regional Director – Western Region, AMCHAM, welcoming speakers and participants and introducing the expert speakers for the day. Through a brief address Mr. Jaideep Ghosh, Partner, KPMG in India, set the stage by sharing a glimpse of Budget 2020-2021 and its implications on the transport and logistics sector.

Through a presentation made by expert speaker Mr. Koshal Agarwal, Chartered Accountant, insights were shared on the recent amendments in GST. Mr. Agarwal focussed on the highlights from the Budget 2020-2021, new simplified returns, an overview of the proposed GST returns, key impact on outward supplies, key changes in inward supplies, e-invoicing and key IRN guidelines. An interactive Q&A followed. The event concluded with closing remarks and a vote of thanks by Mr. Praveen Gosain, Co-Chairperson – Supply Chain and Logistics Committee, AMCHAM and Director (Supply Chain India), Corning Technologies India.
