Pre-Diwali Reception to Welcome a Visiting U.S. Congressional Delegation in partnership with KPMG and USISPF – 17th October 2017

KPMG in India, in partnership wth AMCHAM and USISPF, hosted a reception to welcome a visiting U.S. Congressional delegation on 17th October in New Delhi. The delegation was led by Representative Lamar Smith (R-TX), Chairman of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. Other members of the delegation included Representative Ami Bera (D-CA), Representative Mo Brooks (R-AL), Representative Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA), Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY), Representative Darren Soto (D-FL), Representative Mark Sanford (R-SC) and Representative Brian Babin (R-TX). Mr. Arun Kumar, Vice Chairman, AMCHAM and Chairman & CEO, KPMG in India, gave the opening remarks. Mr. Jeffrey Sexton, Minister Counselor for Public Affairs, U.S. Embassy, also addressed the gathering. Representative Bera mentioned in his remarks this was the first trip to India for six of the delegates. The reception was well attend by U.S. Embassy officials, including Chargé d’Affaires MaryKay Carlson.
