AMCHAM India, in partnership with Deloitte India, organized a webcast on ‘Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) – India Spotlight Adoption and Enforcement Actions’ on Tuesday, 26th September 2017. The webinar commenced with opening remarks by Ms. Surabhi Wahal, Regional Director – Western Region, AMCHAM India. This was followed by Mr. Samir Gandhi, Partner, Deloitte India, setting the stage as well as introducing of the speakers.
The experts from Deloitte, Mr. Rajesh Gandhi and Mr. Rohan Phatarphekar, took the participants through a valuable and detailed analysis of the implications of the BEPS action plans, highlighting treaty abuse, permanent establishment, intangibles, digital economy, transfer pricing documentation, equalization levy and country-by-country reporting. The session created a productive platform for gaining valuable insights on BEPS for companies with business operations in India and an understanding of the global scenario.
