For the first time ever, AMCHAM members from the non-profit sector met virtually on May 7th under the leadership of Mr. Rajesh Varghese, Co-Chairman – CSR Committee, AMCHAM and Country Director for India, PYXERA Global, to brainstorm and collaborate. Ms. Valerie Swope, Program Coordinator, AMCHAM, welcomed participants and shared tips on how they could best leverage membership. Mr. Rajesh Varghese moderated the discussion which covered regulatory challenges and advocacy unique to the sector, key findings from the CSR survey and forward planning for committee activities. Potential engagement with NITI Aayog and state-level officials were discussed. Mr. Manjunath Gorur Chandrashekar, CSR Manager SkillsBuild, IBM India, gave an overview of IBM’s SkillsBuild program and how non-profits can partner for the same. Representatives from ChildFund India, Christel House India, Foundation for Excellence (FFE), PYXERA Global, Shanti Bhavan, and Vital Strategies participated.
