Members of AMCHAM met with Mr. S. Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, on April 20th in New Delhi. Mr. Sushil Pal, Joint Secretary, MeitY and Ms. Asha Nangia, Scientist ‘G’ and Group Coordinator, MeitY, joined the meeting. Discussions focused on how the current geopolitical climate is impacting IT contracts, with members exploring remedial measures such as force majeure relief for hardware tenders. Moving forward, a joint ministry initiative is being developed to support members with their existing Government of India contracts.
