Interaction with AMCHAM’s Honorary President, Ambassador Sergio Gor and National Executive Board Members

AMCHAM’s National Executive Board members met with Ambassador Sergio Gor, Honorary President of AMCHAM on April 23rd at the Boeing office in New Delhi. Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM welcomed participants. Mr. Salil Gupte, Past Chairman, AMCHAM and President, Boeing India & South Asia, set the tone for the meeting and moderated the discussion. Ambassador Gor shared insights on the U.S.-India partnership, trade agreement, Pax Silica and defense cooperation. Board members provided sector-wise inputs focused on ease of doing business for U.S. companies operating in India across the following sectors: aerospace and defense, healthcare, manufacturing, fintech and services. The discussion touched upon IP challenges, defense exports, refurbished medical devices, pharmaceutical trials, market access issues, innovation friendly framework, and plastic waste management regulation, among others. Mr. Chaitanya Sarawate, Vice Chairman, AMCHAM and President & CEO, GE HealthCare South Asia, provided the closing remarks.
