AMCHAM’s Karnataka Chapter hosted a session on ‘Decoding the Union Budget 2020’ at Hyatt Centric MG Road, Bengaluru on February 3rd. Set in the background of India’s vision to be a $5 trillion economy, the session focussed on examining the highlights of the Union Budget 2020 presented by the Honourable Finance Minister of India on February 1st.
The session covered direct and indirect tax proposals set forth as well as steps adopted by the government that impact the Indian economy in general. The session explored trends, challenges and opportunities that came out of the Union Budget 2020 and how these would impact the business environment.
