AMCHAM’s Hyderabad Chapter, in association with EY, organized a session on employee related laws for members at the EY office in Hyderabad on August 4th.  Mr. Puneet Gupta, Partner, EY led the session and spoke on the current labor law landscape, employee transition during transactions, provident fund and the upcoming labor codes. He also touched on the mandatory engagement under the Apprentices Act 1961.  While discussing the labor codes impact, he spoke on the key aspects to be reviewed such as worker classification, compensation structure, benefits, HR/payroll policy review and flexi hiring. Mr. Gupta shared case studies on recent judgements by the Supreme Court on Standing Orders. A total of 35 representatives from member companies attended the session.
