An Electronics Manufacturing Committee meeting was held on February 17th under the leadership of Mr. Naveen Tandon, Co-Chair – Electronics Manufacturing Committee, AMCHAM India and Head – Policy and Strategy, Apple India. Mr. Tandon welcomed all participants and gave opening remarks. Ms. Ann Mason, Trade and Technology Unit Chief, U.S. Embassy attended the meeting. The discussions were focused on DPB recommendations to regulate hardware manufacturing under DPA, the electronics manufacturing ecosystem, PLI schemes, EODB-2.0: Industry Submission, data privacy issues in hardware and TEVC, among other topics. AMCHAM would compile industry comments for future submissions to the relevant ministries.
