The Karnataka Chapter hosted an interactive session with knowledge partner Grant Thornton on July 11th, 2019. The session examined the highlights of the Union Budget presented in parliament on July 5th. Direct and indirect tax implications as well as salient features that impact the economy in general and the business of U.S. companies doing business in India were discussed.
The speakers from Grant Thornton were Mr. Shashishekar Chaugule (Direct Tax), Ms. Fatema Hunaid (Transfer Pricing) and Mr. Madhur Harlalka (Indirect Tax). The session was very informative and interactive. The session was attended by senior finance professionals from companies like Swagelok, Timken, Intel, Inteva Products, XL Health and others.
