AMCHAM’s Western Region Executive Committee held its 1^st meeting for FY 2026–27 virtually on July 7^th. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Siddhartha Ghosal, Chairman – Western Region, AMCHAM and Country President & CEO, Dow Chemical and Mr. Arindam Banerrji, Co-Chairman – Western Region, AMCHAM and Country Head, State Street. The meeting was attended by Mr. Sandip Patel, Past Chairman, AMCHAM and Managing Director, IBM India, Mr. Manoj Kumar Vijai, National Executive Board Member, AMCHAM and Non-Executive Chairman Office Managing Partner – Mumbai & Head- Risk Advisory, KPMG in India, Ms. Simi Thapar, National Executive Board Member, AMCHAM and Chief Country Officer & Director, CSI Renting India Pvt. Members were introduced to the Western Region’s FY 2026–27 strategic workplan, anchored around six flagship initiatives: CEO–government strategic dialogue, data center and digital infrastructure initiative, BFSI policy and innovation roundtable series, food processing and agri-tech initiative, supply chain and logistics transformation program, and a renewed push on membership growth and regional expansion, including deeper engagement with American companies across Gujarat. The meeting also featured a CSR spotlight highlighting the breadth of community impact American companies are already driving across Maharashtra, spanning education, healthcare, environment, skilling and women’s empowerment, with members agreeing to explore opportunities to align and amplify these efforts collectively. Members discussed avenues to deepen engagement across the member community, including proposed networking and community-building initiatives, along with a renewed focus on the chemical industry. The meeting concluded with the committee’s shared commitment to advancing these priorities together over the coming year, strengthening AMCHAM’s role as a leading voice for American businesses in western India.
