The Cyber Security Committee meeting was chaired by Mr. Deepak Maheshwari from Symantec and co-chaired by Mr. Kishore Balaji from Intel Technologies and Mr. Rajnish Gupta from RSA Technologies on 7th June 2019 at the Intel office in Nehru Place. Perspective from the U.S. Embassy was shared by Mr. Joshua Johnson, Trade Officer, Economic, Environment, Science and Technology Affairs. It was decided that the committee would primarily focus upon (1) Personal Data Protection Bill and (2) Review of National Cyber Security Policy.

State wise events across Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai would be planned keeping the above thematic areas in mind along with focus group discussion with MeiTY and other ministries to deliberate and educate the GOI on global cyber security mandates. The U.S. Embassy has shown interest to support AMCHAM with their initiatives by inviting key govt officials and experts from U.S. government to discuss and participate in focused roundtables and events.
