7th Anti-Corruption Compliance and Risk Management Master Class Series: Session II – Global & Local Compliance Trends – 20th August 2020

The Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee organized the second session of its 7th Anti-Corruption Compliance and Risk Management Master on August 20th. The theme of the session was ‘Global & Local Compliance Trends.’ While welcoming participants, Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM, spoke about some of the recent global trends which included increasing importance of cyber security, data protection and privacy and IPR. Mr. Gaurav Ajmani, Chairman – Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee, AMCHAM and Associate General Counsel, Business Conduct & Ethics, Amazon Seller Services, introduced the theme. It was followed by a panel discussion on global and local trends.

The panelists included Mr. Vasu Muthyala, White-Collar, Corporate & Individual Investigations and Enforcement Partner, Kobre & Kim, Ms. Mini vandePol, Asia Pacific Head, Compliance and Investigations, Baker & McKenzie and Mr. Sunny Mann, Compliance and Investigations Partner, Baker & McKenzie. Their discussion focussed on extraterritorial ABC laws, global legal developments, enforcement trends, changing global dynamics with China, regulator expectations and risk management. The session concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Bhawna A. Ranganadhan, Co-Chairperson – Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance Committee, AMCHAM and Vice President, Legal and Compliance, Genpact.
