AMCHAM’s CSR Committee organized an interactive webinar on CSR policies with Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, Senior Advisor, Dua Consulting on September 23rd over Webex. Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM introduced Dr. Chatterjee and lauded his expertise in the field of sustainable development. Dr. Chatterjee addressed relevant challenges members face with CSR and shed light on corporate foundations, clarity on ongoing projects, loss of FCRA licenses, questions around un-utilized funds, sub-granting and innovative financial instruments to fund CSR projects, among other topics. During the invaluable Q&A portion of the session members’ specific questions were addressed regarding ambiguities in CSR law. AMCHAM also explored the possibility of submitting recommendations regarding CSR to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. More than 45 participants joined the webinar.
