AMCHAM, along with aggregator industries operating in India, had a meeting with Mr. Mahmood Ahmed, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Government of India on August 24th in New Delhi. This was a follow up meeting convened by the Ministry subsequent to a recent AMCHAM meeting with Mr. Anurag Jain, Secretary, MoRTH to discuss issues concerning U.S. aggregator industries. Major challenges being faced by the industry, including, implementation concerns of clause 2 and 15 of MV Aggregator Guidelines 2020 at the state level and data localization guideline alignment with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 were deliberated upon. Mr. Ahmed appreciated the contribution of the aggregator industry and agreed to look into the concerns raised during the discussion, including those at the state level.
