AMCHAM’s Tamil Nadu Chapter held ‘Decoding the Union Budget 2020’ with experts from PwC on February 5th in Chennai. Mr. Rajan Aiyer, Chairman – Tamil Nadu Chapter, AMCHAM and Managing Director, Trimble, addressed members. This session focussed on examining the highlights of the Union Budget presented in parliament on February 1st. Direct and indirect tax implications and salient features that impact the economy in general and business of U.S. companies were presented and discussed.
The session explored trends envisaged based on extreme analysis of the budget and sought how the changes proposed would impact business. The speakers from PwC included Mr. Sriram Seshadri, Partner, Corporate & International Tax and Mr. Sivarajan K, Partner, Indirect Tax .
