AMCHAM members met with Mr. Anurag Jain, Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India on July 13th at his office in New Delhi. Mr. Mahmood Ahmed, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India joined the meeting. Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM initiated the discussions and members highlighted some major challenges faced by AMCHAM members, including those under the MV Aggregator Guidelines and U.S. industry initiatives to promote connected construction solutions for highways construction. The meeting was attended by Mr. Sanjay Chadha, Co-Chairman – Infrastructure and Smart Cities Committee and Director – Head of Public Policy and Government Affairs, Uber India Systems Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Anand Sirohi, Director – Key Accounts & Large Projects, Trimble, Ms. M. Mahima, Associate, Government Affairs, Blackstone India and Ms. Geeta Poduval, Director, AMCHAM. Mr. Anurag Jain agreed to positively consider the issues discussed and advised the way forward for further interaction.
