Defense Closed Door Interactive Session with VADM Joseph Rixey, Director, DSCA – 18th November 2016

AmCham Defense Committee members met with VADM Joseph Rixey, Director of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency at New Delhi. VADM Rixey was in Delhi for the Defense Procurement and Production Group (DPPG) meetings with his counterpart Ms. Smita Nagaraj, Director General (Acquisitions), Ministry of Defense, Government of India. VADM Rixey shared some information regarding some of the main points discussed at the DPPG to discuss DSCA’s current initiative for FMS Improvements, on how the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) system works and what could possibly be the inputs to a full spectrum capability. He also shared a broad view of the DSCA’s six-year strategic plan – Vision 2020.Phil Shaw, Chairman of AmCham Defense Committee chaired the interactive session.
