AMCHAM’s Agriculture & Food Processing Committee called upon Mr. Preet Pal Singh, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India on May 18th at his office. The delegation was led by Mr. Raju Kapoor, Co-Chairman – Agriculture & Food Processing Committee, AMCHAM and Director – Public & Industry Affairs, FMC India Pvt. Ltd. which included Mr. Abhishek Sahay, Head, Public & Government Affairs and CSR, Mondelēz India, Mr. Sumit Aggarwal, Manager, Public & Government Affairs, Mondelēz India, Mr. Dhritiman Biswas, Director, Government Relations – South Asia, Cargill and Ms. Komple Sharma, Director, AMCHAM. Members discussed their regulatory and policy issues with Mr. Singh. AMCHAM would submit a representation on specific issues to MoFPI. Members requested for a quarterly interaction and a food specific roundtable with the Hon’ble Minister and Secretary, MoFPI. Mr. Singh briefed the delegation about the forthcoming World Food India in November 2023 and urged AMCHAM to lead the U.S. pavilion.
