Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM, Mr. Sanjay Chadha, Co-Chairman – Infrastructure and Smart Cities Committee, AMCHAM and Head of Public Policy and Government Relations, Uber India and South Asia, Uber India Systems and Ms. Geeta Poduval, Director, AMCHAM met with Mr. Chanchal Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Government of India on November 1^st at his office. The Secretary spoke about initiatives being undertaken by the Ministry for enhancing connectivity to the North Eastern Region and the recent developmental projects launched by the Hon’ble Prime Ministers of India and Bangladesh that would help enhance connectivity to states in the region. Discussions were held around the role that U.S. companies can play in supporting infrastructure development, mobility and sustainable economic development in North Eastern states. Mr. Harpreet Singh, Joint Secretary, DoNER highlighted the initiatives being undertaken by the Ministry for enhancing corporate social development.
