Request for Support in Enhancing Manufacturing Capabilities by Shifting Production Lines from China to India

AMCHAM has submitted a representation to the Department of Industrial Promotion and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India on December 3^rd, requesting support towards shifting production of scroll hermetic compressors from China to India in keeping with the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat.’ The proposal includes investment in India to enhance the manufacturing capabilities in a phased manner including establishing the manufacturing facility, increasing manufacturing capacity for exports as well as establishing a global R&D, engineering and IT center.
