AMCHAM sent a representation to the Department of Industrial Promotion and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India seeking QCO extension beyond December 2024 to provide flexibility on imports of highly engineered products that will help create an indigenous sourcing and supply chain in India for advanced scroll compressors over the next couple of years through ‘Make in India’ and ensure continuity of business for U.S. companies.
