AMCHAM’s Karnataka Chapter hosted an interactive session on ‘Reimagining the Immigration Landscape in a Post-Pandemic World’ with Fragomen & Partners on November 15th in Bengaluru. This strategic session was hosted exclusively for key decision makers of AMCHAM member companies to benefit from understanding the movement of people for business growth in a post pandemic world. Session takeaways included the potential effects on U.S. immigration policy should Republicans regain a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives and/or Senate and an update on the likelihood of any immigration legislation being passed by the U.S. Congress in the foreseeable future. Leadership from Fragomen & Partners gave participants an update on the U.S. State Department’s recent efforts to reduce U.S. visa application appointment backlogs in India, current USCIS processing backlogs and the prognosis for any relief.
