Tamil Nadu Chapter - Chennai

AMCHAM’s Tamil Nadu Chapter represents one of the chamber’s most strategically significant regional chapters, reflecting Tamil Nadu’s position as a leading industrial, manufacturing, and services hub in India. Often referred to as the “Detroit of Asia,” Tamil Nadu has emerged as a preferred destination for U.S. companies across sectors such as automotive, manufacturing, electronics, IT–ITeS, healthcare, fintech, and R&D.

The chapter serves as a strategic platform for industry–government dialogue, policy advocacy, and thought leadership, enabling U.S. companies to engage constructively with state policymakers, regulators, and ecosystem partners. Through regular interactions with the Government of Tamil Nadu, the U.S. Consulate General in Chennai, and industry stakeholders, the chapter plays a pivotal role in strengthening the U.S.-India economic partnership in southern India.
