Roundtable with Admiral Samuel Paparo, Commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command on 'Transforming the Relationship Utilizing Strategic Technology - Cyber, Space and AI'

AMCHAM hosted a closed-door roundtable with Admiral Samuel Paparo, Commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command for a strategic discussion on transforming U.S.-India collaboration in cyber security, space, and AI on February 15th in New Delhi. Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM welcomed participants and set the context for the session. From AMCHAM’s leadership the following participated: Mr. Michael Fernandez, Vice Chairman, AMCHAM, Mr. Salil Gupte, Past Chairman, AMCHAM and Mr. Samit Ray, Co-Chairman – Defense Committee, AMCHAM. Leading U.S. technology companies, cloud providers, semiconductor manufacturers, aerospace and defense firms, and cyber security experts joined U.S. government officials to chart the path forward for bilateral cooperation in aviation, defense manufacturing, and emerging technology security.

Members shared insights on a Cyber Security Collaboration Center, cyber resilience and current global cyber status quo, updates from the semiconductor industry on security by design, insights on field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) in space and the integration of AI in critical information infrastructure. An introduction for a Joint Cyber Coordination & Control Center (JCCC) framework—a sovereign-by-design platform for predictive defense against evolving cyber threats in the Indo-Pacific was discussed. As both nations face sophisticated cyber campaigns targeting critical infrastructure, cloud systems, and supply chains, collaboration is no longer optional—it’s imperative. The JCCC represents a new model of democratic cyber cooperation focused on critical infrastructure protection, digital public infrastructure security, supply chain resilience, real-time threat, intelligence sharing and joint defense capabilities.
