AMCHAM’s Pharmaceutical Committee held an engaging interactive session with Mr. Jonathan Heimer, Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs, on August 11th virtually. The session commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM, followed by opening remarks by Ms. Meenakshi Nevatia, Country President & Managing Director, Pfizer India. Members discussed key ongoing industry issues, including pricing, TMR, intellectual property, regulatory harmonization, market access, GTE, and innovative therapeutics such as the proton procedure. During the deliberations, Mr. Heimer encouraged members to share a consolidated note for the U.S. government to facilitate further engagement with USTR on these matters. Ms. Jyotsna Ghoshal, Enterprise Lead, Government Affairs & Policy India and Head India Community Impact, Johnson & Johnson Pvt. Ltd. made closing remarks. Mr. Naveen Kumar Rai, Senior Policy Advisor, U.S. Embassy and Mr. Raman Ahuja, Commercial Specialist, U.S. Embassy joined the meeting which had 15+ members present.
