AMCHAM’s Secretariat met with Ms. Parama Sen, Additional Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India on April 27th at her office. AMCHAM shared U.S. industry in India’s concerns in the current geopolitical scenario. Prominent requests included force majeure for existing government procurement contracts, suspending punitive actions, permitting contract renegotiation for contracts currently under execution, and allowing phased delivery with partial payments. Ms. Sen assured the industry of her support.
