Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM and Ms. Geeta Poduval, Director, AMCHAM met with Mr. Rajeev Singh Thakur, Additional Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India on November 22^nd at his office in New Delhi. Discussions were held around partnership opportunities in industrial smart cities and emerging technologies that can help build world class industrial smart cities to make India one of the most preferred global investment destinations. Mr. Thakur was also apprised regarding matters concerning U.S. industries in the healthcare sector, harmonization of standards to promote U.S.- India business relations and policy considerations for the production linked incentive (PLI) schemes of the Government of India. Mr. Thakur agreed to positively consider AMCHAM’s suggestions and collaborate to promote U.S.-India economic relations.
