AMCHAM met with Mr. Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India on November 4th at his office in New Delhi. Ms. Ranjana Khanna opened the meeting by highlighting the work of U.S. industry in skill development. The discussion focused on AI skilling and awareness of apprenticeship programs. The Secretary highlighted that organizations like AMCHAM should play an important role in encouraging industries to contribute towards strengthening the skill ecosystem, which would result in the generation of more skilled manpower as per industry requirements. Invitations for upcoming AMCHAM events were extended to various officials. Representatives from Intel and Visa joined the meeting.
