Members of AMCHAM’s Infrastructure and Smart Cities Committee met with Mr. A.R. Chitranshi, Chief Operating Officer, Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL) on February 4^th at the IHMCL office in New Delhi. The objective of the meeting was to gain information regarding the strategic priorities and ongoing projects being undertaken by IHMCL, identifying technology projects where U.S. companies can play a significant role and explore potential opportunities for collaboration on future projects in the highway management sector. Mr. Chitranshi highlighted the Government of India’s initiatives for the highways sector, including plans for barrier-less tolls across major highways in the country, ease of payment methods to help highway users and forthcoming projects where U.S. industry has the opportunity to collaborate with the government. Representatives from FTI Consulting, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Kyndryl and Visa as well as Ms. Geeta Poduval, Director, AMCHAM joined the meeting.
