Meeting of GCC Advisory Committee under the Chairmanship of Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India
The first meeting of the GCC Advisory Committee under the chairmanship of Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India was organized on July 23rd in New Delhi. The agenda of the meeting was to brainstorm on the proposed “National Framework for Global Capability Centers” and seek detailed inputs from committee members. Mr. S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY spoke about the recent budget announcement for having a national GCC policy, expansion of GCCs to tier two and tier three cities, deepening of talent pool, involvement of key central ministries and ease of doing business. Members of the committee shared suggestions around EoDB, fiscal support, talent and skill, infrastructural requirements, technology and innovation, and taxation issues. AMCHAM India shared its observations as a committee member.
