AMCHAM’s Eastern Region organized a virtual interactive session with the North East division of the Invest India on June 14th to identify key sectors for potential investment in various northeastern states in India. Ms. Kime Bune, Assistant Vice President, Invest India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India began the session with a comprehensive presentation. She highlighted potential investment areas such as agro-processing, information technology, ESDM (electronics system design and manufacturing), sustainable energy, minerals, and tourism. Following the presentation, Dr. Geetima Das Krishna, Head, North East Division, Invest India, provided a detailed discussion on emerging opportunities. She also addressed questions from members regarding connectivity, road infrastructure, and the business environment. The session was well attended by members.
