On 14th April, AMCHAM jointly hosted defense industry members for an interaction with a powerful delegation led by Representative Adam Smith, Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) along with HASC members, Representative Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) and Representative Scott Austin (R-GA). Members interacted on various issues related to the U.S.-India Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. The issues discussed covered critical importance aspects including the present geopolitical scenario, CAATSA and the foundational bilateral agreements, joint military exercises, major defense capabilities as well as an understanding on the recently concluded 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue.
