AMCHAM’s Infrastructure & Smart Cities Committee met under the leadership of Mr. Rajan Aiyer, Chairman – Infrastructure & Smart Cities Committee, AMCHAM and Managing Director, Trimble India in New Delhi on February 27th. Ms. Geeta Poduval, Director, AMCHAM welcomed members. Opening up the discussions, Mr. Rajan Aiyer highlighted the significance of U.S. technology companies in supporting India’s infrastructure growth meeting global standards, and the need for engaging with the Government of India for enhancing road infrastructure. Members deliberated upon technology offerings, such as BIM and Digital Twin, tunneling networks, AI and intelligent technologies for traffic management and road safety, interoperable transport systems, data utilization, advanced road materials and toll plaza designs. Representatives from AMD, Autodesk, Cisco, Dell, FTI Consulting, IBM, Jacobs, Rockwell Automation, Solstice Advanced Materials, Visa and Uber took part in the deliberations.
