AMCHAM’s Infrastructure and Smart Cities Committee met virtually under the leadership of Mr. Rajan Aiyer, Chairman – Infrastructure and Smart Cities Committee, AMCHAM and Managing Director, Trimble India on February 20^th. Ms. Geeta Poduval, Director, AMCHAM welcomed members. The committee reviewed past activities and follow-up action arising out of meetings with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Airports Authority of India. Members deliberated upon the importance of mandating BIM-based concept, design, construction, and O&M, emerging opportunities for the data center industry in view of the recent tax incentives announced in the budget, and proposed meetings with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and Ministry of Railways. Representatives from 3M, Carrier, Cisco, FTI Consulting, Honeywell, Uber and Visa participated in the discussion.
