AMCHAM’s Infrastructure and Smart Cities Committee held a meeting on July 1^st virtually under the leadership of Mr. Rajan Aiyer, Chairman – Infrastructure and Smart Cities Committee, AMCHAM and Vice President & Managing Director, Trimble India and SAARC. Ms. Geeta Poduval, Director, AMCHAM initiated the discussions. Mr. Rajan Aiyer, highlighted the significance of the United States as a trusted partner of India and the imperative to promote U.S. technology without non-tariff concerns. The committee discussed emerging and new opportunities in railways, roads and highways, airports and shipping, green data centres, industrial smart cities, urban development and water, and the policies required for adoption of new and globally benchmarked technologies by the Government of India. The meeting was attended by representatives from 3M, APCO, Autodesk, AWS, Brightnight Power, Carrier, Cisco, FTI, Honeywell, Microsoft, Rockwell Automation, Smiths group and Visa.
