The ICT Committee of AMCHAM organized a webinar on ‘India 2030: The Role of Supercomputing’ on April 6th. Mr. Ankur Malhotra, Co-Chairman – CSR Committee, AMCHAM and Head Corporate Affairs and CSR, Hewlett Packard Enterprise India, welcomed all participants and mentioned that India is aiming to become the third largest economy by 2030. With the possibility of more than a billion Indians having access to the internet by 2030, and supercomputers would be the tools to achieve the targets mentioned. Col. A. K. Nath (Retd.) Director General, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), Government of India, cited the use case scenario of supercomputers and mentioned that supercomputers are boosting electronics manufacturing under the umbrella of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ in India. Other dignitaries who deliberated their perspectives at the event were Dr. D.
