AMCHAM’s Ethics & Compliance Committee held a committee meeting on ‘AI in Compliance’ on July 22^nd at the office of Grant Thornton, Gurugram. Mr. Rahul Lalit, Partner, Crisis & Resilience, GT Bharat was the expert speaker. The meeting focused on the rise of AI in legal and compliance – uses, opportunities, challenges and how legal and compliance professionals predict the next decade. The session covered implications of the recent executive orders, greater emphasis on training and communication, promoting an ethical culture, tone from the top and AI as an enabler. The committee discussed how AI is a grey area in the legal and compliance field. Some use cases around AI were also discussed.
