Empowering U.S. Companies through Incentives, Apprenticeships, and Evolving Regulatory Compliance
On September 30th, AMCHAM’s Tamil Nadu Chapter, in collaboration with EY, hosted an insightful session titled ‘Empowering U.S. Companies through Incentives, Apprenticeships, and Evolving Regulatory Compliance’ at the EY office in Chennai. The session was conducted by Mr. Puneet Gupta, Partner – Labour and Employment Laws & Regulations, EY, who shared his expertise on three important themes: 1) Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme – Benefits for employers and actionable strategies to maximize impact. 2) Apprenticeship Scheme – Increasing emphasis by regulatory authorities and the compliance framework required. 3) Changing People Regulations – Emerging developments in labour and employment laws and their implications for HR policies and organizational compliance. Some of the key takeaways included:
