Concerns on the proposed Amendments to the Equalisation Levy: Industry request

Based on the consultation conducted with industry members, AMCHAM India compiled and shared industry concerns and requests on the proposed amendments to the Equalisation Levy as mentioned in the Government of India’s Finance Bill for the Union Budget 2021-22 with Mr. Tarun Bajaj, Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government of India on May 1st, 2021. The letter addresses the periodicity of payment, the timing of Equalisation Levy accrual, the due date of Equalisation Levy payment for the most recent quarter, and many other issues.
