Representation on Import of Specialized Steel Grades

AMCHAM has submitted a representation to the Ministry of Steel on November 28^th requesting support and policy consideration in matters of steel import NOCs and Quality Control Order implementation challenges in the automotive component manufacturing sector. Recent regulatory changes issued vide Steel Quality Control Order (QCO) have resulted in immediate compliance concern to members regarding import of specialized steel grades that are currently not manufactured in India and fall outside the purview of Steel QCO.
