On April 15th, AMCHAM’s Secretariat and Mr. Samit Ray, Co-Chairman – Defense Committee, AMCHAM and Deputy Vice President – Government Affairs & Public Policy South Asia, RTX met with Joint Secretary (International Cooperation) Vishwesh Negi at the Ministry of Defence. Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM thanked Mr. Negi for his time and the discussions revolved around inclusion of defense under iCET, challenges U.S. companies face in India in terms of MRO, high ATF taxes and OGEL licencing issues, amongst other things. The meeting ended with a request for a de-brief on the proposed visit of NSA for the U.S.-India iCET Dialogue.
