On April 10th, AMCHAM’s Defense Committee met with students and faculty of the National War College. Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM welcomed participants and gave an overview of the defense sector in India. Mr. Salil Gupte, Vice Chairman, AMCHAM and President, Boeing India & South Asia provided these future leaders with valuable insights into the American defense industry. Committee members from Boeing India, BAE Systems India, and Lockheed Martin India engaged in a thoughtful session focused on U.S.-India relations in the context of defense partnerships. The students were able to understand more about opportunities for collaboration between the U.S. and India in defense procurement and technology sharing, evolving strategic landscape in the Indo-Pacific region, importance of a strong U.S.-India defense partnership in ensuring regional security while highlighting the growing importance of U.S.-India defense cooperation.
