AMCHAM’s Eastern Region held the first Executive Committee meeting for 2023-24 on May 19th in Kolkata chaired by Mr. Atanu Mukherjee, Chairman – Eastern Region, AMCHAM and Chief Executive Officer, Dastur Energy Private Limited. Other members present included Mr. Joydeep Datta Gupta, Partner, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP, Mr. Surajit Banerjee, Managing Director, Fi-Tek Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Pinaki Ranjan Ghosh, Chief Operating Officer, DCG Data-Core Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd., Ms. Rupa Ganguly, APAC Director, Operations, Human Resource, Hyland Software Solutions India LLP and Mr. Manish Ranjan Das, Financial Controller, Joy Global (India) Private Limited. The focus of the discussion was activity planning for the next quarter and how to reach out to more American companies in the region for AMCHAM membership. The committee also discussed the pros and cons of the gig economy and suggested to organize a session on the theme ‘The Future of Work: Embracing the Gig Economy.’
