AMCHAM organized a workshop on U.S.-India Partnership as a Frontrunner in HPC and Supercomputing’ on February 3rd. Panelists at the workshop included Mr. Ashish Kuvelkar, Sr. Director, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Dr. Santosh Ansumali, Professor, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research and Dr. Sudhakar Yerneni, Sr. Manager, Field Support, AMD India. Mr. Ranganath Sadasiva, Chief Technology Officer, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, moderated the session and Mr. Manas Nath Hiranmay, Country Manager, HPC AI & Datasolutions, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, gave a presentation on the industry perspective. The workshop was sponsored by Hewlett Packard Enterprise India. Discussions centred around HPC contribution in India becoming a trillion dollar economy, the role of U.S. companies to help C-DAC in meeting the heightened expectations and demands of various government departments, role of HPC and supercomputing in various new use cases and how U.S. corporations could support to push the talent beacon to help research and academia in India.
