AMCHAM conducted a quick response webinar on the Government of India’s Production Linked Incentive for IT Hardware Phase II (PLI 2.0 for IT HW) on May 30^th as a precursor to the launch of the scheme on 31^st May 2023. The chief guest, Mr. Amitesh Sinha, Joint Secretary, (Group Coordinator – Industrial Promotion), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India was introduced by Mr. Naveen Tandon, Co-Chairman – Electronics Manufacturing Committee, AMCHAM and Head, Policy and Strategy, Apple. This was followed by a detailed presentation by the Joint Secretary and an extremely interactive Q&A segment with member inputs from AMCHAM’s leaders in electronics manufacturing. The webinar concluded by committing to a periodic review of PLI2.0 among AMCHAM members with a quarterly touch point with the Ministry.
