A meeting of the U.S.-India Fast Track Mechanism was held at Invest India on July 16th. The meeting was Chaired by Mr. Rajiv Aggarwal, Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). Representatives from various ministries and departments attended the meeting. Five AMCHAM member companies, Applied Materials, Edwards Life Sciences, Corning Technologies, Ingersoll Rand and CH Robinson, presented their issues for resolution.

The discussions provided much needed opportunity to AMCHAM’s members to effectively put across their specific challenges. Some issues were resolved and others would be presented again with more data and additional information for consideration by the government. In addition to being very thankful for the opportunity, members conveyed their confidence in resolution of their issues based on the discussions.
