The Future of Partnerships, CSR, and Social Impact: A Roundtable with Executive Leadership from Lions Clubs International Foundation – 07 November 2023

AMCHAM, in partnership with Lions Club International Foundation, organized ‘The Future of Partnerships, CSR, and Social Impact: A Roundtable with Executive Leadership from Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF)’ on November 7th in New Delhi. Ms. Ranjana Khanna, Director General CEO, AMCHAM welcomed members. Mr. Brian Sheehan, Chairperson, Lions Clubs International Foundation led a delegation which included the following people from LCIF: Mr. Vijay Kumar Raju, Trustee, Mr. G.S. Hora, Constitutional Area Leader, Mr. Erik Brejla, Manager, Global CSR and Strategic Partnerships and Ms. Puja Tanya, Manager, Global CSR and Strategic Partnerships. Established in 1917, Lions International has been committed to serving, supporting, and empowering communities across the world. A recognized global leader with 1.4 million members worldwide in over 200 countries, LCIF has over 300,000 Indian Lions Clubs members across every state. LCIF has positively impacted communities through health projects, water and sanitation projects, education and youth skills development programming, and disaster support, among many other humanitarian efforts. Mr. Sheehan went through a presentation on the future of partnerships, CSR and social impact which highlighted their work specifically in vision care, environment, youth, disaster relief, humanitarian needs, hunger, childhood cancer and diabetes. Mr. Harpreet Singh, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Government of India, shared about the strategic importance and infrastructure development in the north east. He encouraged members to spend 10% of the 2% CSR spend in the north east. Mr. Singh invited members to invest and partner in CSR initiatives in north eastern states. Ms. Kachina Chawla, Division Chief for Health Systems Strengthening, USAID/India joined the interactive session along with representatives from member companies Boston Scientific, Deloitte, GE HealthCare, Genpact, KPMG in India, Medtronic, Microsoft, Mylan Laboratories Ltd., S&P Global, Tecumseh and UPS.
