A delegation of AmCham’s Smart City Infrastructure Consortium Companies were led by Mr. Ajay Singha, Executive Director, AmCham India, at an interactive meeting held in Bilaspur/ Raipur, with the Principle Secretary, Urban Development, Government of Chhattisgarh Mr. R. P Mandal, who along with other senior officials including Collector & District Magistrate Mr. P. Anbalagan, Commissioner Bilaspur Municipal Corporation, Ms. Ranu Sahu, Commissioner Bilaspur Division, Mr. Sonmoni Borah, had extensive deliberations on the scope of US private sector participation in Chhattisgarh infrastructure development sectors. The delegation also called on Minister, Urban Development, Govt of Chattisgarh, Mr. Amar Agarwa,l and apprised of the offerings of the US Consortium based at AmCham. The Minister has asked AmCham to prepare a composite document for solutions provided by US companies for Retrofit & Redevelopment projects for Bilaspur city. This task is being undertaken by Aecom’s Saurabh Srivastava, and will be completed and presented to the Minister subsequently.
